Swinging for a Cause: 17th Ronan Realty Charity Golf Tournament

On August 15th we hosted our 17th Annual Ronan Realty Charity Golf Tournament, bringing together realtors, family, friends, and community members for a day of friendly competition, laughter, and camaraderie, all for a worthy cause. From exciting contests on the greens to a lively dinner reception, this year’s tournament once again showcased the incredible generosity and spirit of giving within our community.

Held at the picturesque Hockley Valley Resort on a beautiful, hot sunny day, our 144 enthusiastic golfers hit the course. Out on the course, our golfers had a blast dunking our Broker of Record, Sarah Lunn and Maighan Ronan in the dunk tank at our Splash Zone sponsored by Alliston Botanix. While on the other side of the course, golfers were snapping fun pictures at our photo booth sponsored by Wylie Ford. Proximo, Pop’s Cannabis, Scotiabank Wealth Management, Iron Kettle Craft Iced Tea, and Beattie’s Distillers joined us for the day, providing samples and fun games to add to the excitement on the course. We were also thrilled to have Taylor’s Jewellers set up their permanent jewellery lounge at the tournament, generously donating $315 from their proceeds back to support our causes.

We are proud to announce this year’s tournament raised an impressive $20,000, which will be donated to several local charities, including Matthew’s House Hospice, Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation, C.L.A.S.S, CONTACT Community Services, Alliston & District Humane Society, and various food banks that serve our surrounding communities.

The energy on the course and during the post-event celebration dinner was contagious, as everyone rallied behind these important causes, demonstrating once again that together, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most. During our evening celebration, the excitement grew as we held our 50/50 draw, with participants eagerly hoping to win while contributing to our charitable efforts. Attendees also had the chance to win fantastic raffle prizes, including a stunning patio set generously donated by TIAS, perfect for summer gatherings. The evening culminated in the announcement of our tournament and prize winners, honouring the outstanding performances of our participants. The spirit of giving filled the air, making it truly memorable.
